Helping your body to recover from impact injuries with ConTact C.A.R.E in Kihikihi, Te Awamutu
Over the course of our lives, we have all experienced injuries. These injuries may cause us to feel pain, uncoordinated and out of balance, and restricted in movement.
ConTact C.A.R.E is a non-intrusive and supportive method which works with comfort and the skeleton to release pressure in bones caused by surprise impact injuries.
What is ConTact C.A.R.E
When your skeleton suffers an impact, it either causes a bone to break, or the bone absorbs and traps the pressure of that impact.
That pressure creates a perception of weight in that area, that your body is forced to carry and compensate for, to achieve balance. This compensation is the felt stress or pain you feel, sometimes in seemingly unrelated parts of the body.
Our unique postures and positions that we find comfortable are often ones that put pressure on old injuries. The reason we do this is because it equalises the trapped pressure in the bones, which feels good.
My job is to locate these flinchlocks, match the pressure, and release them using a gentle rhythm which essentially resurprises the bone, bypassing the skeleton’s self-defence system, and allows the body to return to normal function. No bone cracking!
What you need to know
It is gentle, non manipulative and does not cause pain.
Clients stay fully clothed the entire session.
It is suitable for a person of any age.
Each session is around 45 minutes to an hour.
